CAPTAIN BURKE - is a man who, in his early thirties, has not lost a man in his bomber crews after 19 missions. A few new men have come and gone, but the core crew is the same and they admire him for his good luck and charm. He is a great card player, because he cheats and never gets caught. He has a wife and a two year old daughter he has only seen briefly. He views the War as almost a boys club, or a fraternal order. He is very proud, and even arrogant about his flying. TEX - is a 6'11" linebacker from Lubbock, Texas that is fiercely loyal to everyone in his crew. He is a Southern gentleman that loves his momma and has the manners to match HEDDY - is a measly little guy with glasses and is constantly reading the classics, which instill him with pessimism. |
